Rules and policies are in place to make sure your child remains safe and well at school.
Visit the NSW Department of Education’s policy library for all current operational policies.
Our school uses the department's School Community Charter to ensure all of our communication is collaborative and respectful.
We value the strong home-school partnership that we have at Bundanoon Public School. Next to high quality instruction in the classroom, our partnership stands as one of the most significant factors in a child’s education. We want to ensure that we have an open and highly collaborative relationship with all our parents/carers and that our communication is strong.
Please read the Guidelines for Parent-Teacher Communications document for our policy regarding this.
Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.
In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent and remain in school, employment or training until they turn 17.

We understand that some students need to bring mobile phones to school, however they should not have them in the classroom. Students are asked to hand in their mobile phones to the office each morning as they arrive at school, they can be collected at the end of every day.
Should you need to get an urgent message to your child please ring the office and we will get the message to them as soon as possible.

Bundanoon Public School would like to acknowledge and show respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and learn, the Gundungurra people. We would like to pay our respects to the Elders, both past, present and future; for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Peoples, and thus the wealth of Australia. It is on their land that Bundanoon Public School was built and it is here that we share knowledge, teaching and learning. We will be responsible in taking care of the woodlands, waterways, flora and fauna that surround our escarpment, from the roots of the earth to the tops of the trees.
