Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones
- follow speed signs and stick to the 40km/h speed limit in a school zone
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
- Always give way to pedestrians
- Drop your children off and pick them up on the school side of the road in the designated drop-off and pick-up area (Kiss & Drop). Never call out to them from across the road – they may run to you without checking for traffic.
School zones
School zones operate on all school days from 8.00am to 9.30am, and from 2.30pm to 4.00pm.
A 40km/h school zone operates on all notified school days including staff development days (student-free days).
Fines and a loss of demerit points will apply if the 40km/h speed limit isn’t followed. For more information on fines and demerit points, visit transport.nsw.gov.au

Kiss and Drop
The Kiss and Drop zone is the area beside the school hall on Phillip Street. It is a parking zone designed for convenience and safety. It is intended for quick entries and exits to minimise congestion and risk.
It is a No Parking zone - this means when dropping off or picking up children in the Kiss and Drop zone you must:
- Park for a maximum of 2 minutes
- Remain in your vehicle, or within 3 metres of it.
If you wish to depart your vehicle to enter the school, please park in another space, not the Kiss and Drop zone. Illegally parking in the Kiss and Drop zone can incur a fine of up to $191.
Safe use of the Kiss and Drop zone looks like this:
- Parent/carer drives into zone and moves to the most forward position
- Student takes off seatbelt and exits the car using the safety door
- Student walks into school independently
- Parent exits Kiss and Drop zone safely.
Parking on school grounds
There is no parking on school grounds. Please park on Phillip Street or Church Street.
