On Wednesday 24 July we are very fortunate to have some local Aboriginal Elders visit us and run NAIDOC day group activities.  We will be joined by other local small schools and participate in:

  • traditional weaving and craft
  • music and dance
  • bushtucker and bush medicine (women's business)
  • tools and weapon stories (men's business)
  • poetry in language - Glossy Black Cockatoo

Bundanoon Public School would like to acknowledge and show respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and learn, the Gundungurra people. We would like to pay our respects to the Elders, both past, present and future; for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Peoples, and thus the wealth of Australia. It is on their land that Bundanoon Public School was built and it is here that we share knowledge, teaching and learning. We will be responsible in taking care of the woodlands, waterways, flora and fauna that surround our escarpment, from the roots of the earth to the tops of the trees.
